Watch: Unseen video suggests rift within The Judgment Day after Priest costs Balor World Championship at WWE SummerSlam
Seth Rollins retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after beating Finn Balor at Summerslam.
The Judgment Day, which was formed just a year back, has quickly become one of the most impressive factions in WWE. However, an unseen footage emerging from this evening’s SummerSlam indicates that probably not all is well within the group comprising Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley. Balor and Seth Rollins were involved in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, and in an action-packed title decider, Rollins picked up a victory in a chaotic finish.
The Visionary successfully defended his title after using the Money in the Bank briefcase which was thrown inside the ring by Priest to assist Balor. With Priest distracting the referee, Rollins stomped Balor on the briefcase as he was reaching to grab it. After the match, Balor and Priest had a tense staredown with each other. The two were even reportedly engaged in a heated argument while heading backstage with Rhea and Dominik spotted attempting to pacify them both.

According to media reports, Balor was upset with Priest’s move. The Irishman felt that Priest had wanted to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. It was understood that Priest later assured Balor that he would have never cashed in on his teammate. Following the SummerSlam fiasco, Balor sparked a massive social media row by posting a photo of Priest. The Twitter post went viral in no time, triggering multiple rumours.
What Balor had to say about Priest before Summerslam
Balor had spoken about Priest's intention of having a go at Rollins. "I don't necessarily have an issue with Damian having Money in the Bank; I have an issue with Damian wanting to get to Seth before I get to Seth. I have a seven-year beef with Seth Rollins. Because Damian won the Money in the Bank briefcase a couple of months ago, which I'm very happy about, about his success, I don't think that should interfere with my issues with Seth which has been running for seven years. So Damian and I have smoothed that out. It's been discussed; it's been talked about, it's been put to bed. Me and Damian are cool," Balor had said during an interaction with SportsKeeda.
The SummerSlam 2023 defeat leaves Balor as the only member of The Judgment Day without a major title. Rhea is the current women's world champion, whereas Dirty Dom defeated Wes Lee on an episode of NXT recently to become the North American champion.
