The United States reportedly scrambled four of its destroyers near Alaska after a group of Chinese and Russian warships sailed in the region. Two Republican Senators from Alaska said 11 ships were detected "transiting U.S. waters". The Senators called it "an incursion" and a "reminder of authoritarian aggression by Beijing and Moscow".
